Basic Daily Schedule
We enjoy a large physical plant where many toys, games and puzzles can be stored.
These items are rotated among the classrooms on a weekly basis.
9:00 – 9:30 Free Play This is the time where your child can choose an
activity that they like best. They learn to share,
wait their turn, transition, and play with others.
9:30 – 10:00 Circle Time The class
will be led by the “snack star” in a
discussion of the calendar, the weather
and the
daily theme.
A story and discussion of today’s
theme will follow.
10:00 – 10:20 Snack time/ Bathroom Break
Following the blessing, a snack is enjoyed by the
preschoolers.
"Snack stars" provide the snack for their
classmates.
10:20 – 10:35 Music Time Singing and dance/free movement. This is
designed to develop large motor skills.
10:40 – 11:25 Centers The class is divided into small groups.
Each group rotates from the Academic center
with the
Teacher, a Craft center with the
Assistant, and to an Independent center. We
allow for 15 min. at each station.
11:25 – 11:30 Wrap Up This
is a time for the Teacher to inform you of
the
happenings of the day, and to help you to
follow through at home.
Outside Play: We try to reserve 10 minutes every day (weather permitting)
to take the class outside for a recess time.
Class Size
3 year olds have 12 children per class
4 year olds have 15 children per class
Each classroom has a Certified Teacher and an Experienced Assistant.
